Edinburgh born and raised singer-songwriter Callum Beattie’s debut EP has already received over one million Spotify streams. Produced by revered producer Ken Nelson, who produced Coldplay’s Parachutes and X&Y and acclaimed works by the likes of Paolo Nutini, Badly Drawn Boy and The Charlatans, the EP continues to mark Callum as one of the genuine ones to watch for 2017. Nelson’s ear for melodic, guitar-driven songwriting was a natural fit with Beattie’s songwriting and he immediately saw the potential when he was played rough demos by Beattie’s Liverpool based 3 Beat label.
Beattie has recently supported James Arthur at O2 Leeds Academy, played alongside Nathan Ball and Keir at BBC Introducing shows, and is set to perform at The Great Escape Festival later this month. With a jam-packed live schedule and plethora of in-fectious new material in the works, 2017 is sure to be the year to propel Callum Beattie into the stratosphere.
