Little Mammoths
Entry Requirements: 18+
Little Mammoths are a London-based Rock’n’Roll Bar Band formed in 2014, that continue charging down the vein of Drive-by Truckers, The Hold Steady and Wilco.
Their debut album ‘Phantom Dreams’ was released on vinyl in the Spring of 2017, compromising a set of raucous songs about the goings-on at nightly lock-ins the band were surrounded by over 3 years of touring the West Coast of Ireland and The Scottish Highlands. Its raw energy prompted Texan legend Ray Wylie Hubbard to declare: “If your ears dig gnawing on the gritty sounds from a young, dirty, cool rock band, I just found Little Mammoths who satisfy the craving…”
The quartet’s constant gigging and tireless work ethic often results in straight sets in excess of 4 hours, and has seen their road-hardened material performed to ecstatic crowds alongside Mumford & Sons, Fat White Family and Bahamas and at international festivals including Wilderness, Loopallu, Belladrum and The Clonakilty Guitar Festival.
Little Mammoths released their eagerly anticipated second album ‘Cargo for The Road’ with seven sets at Glastonbury 2017, promoting the record with a slew of festivals that ran into a Tour of Australia. They saw in 2018 in Glastonbury after being invited back to Pilton Working Men's Club by Michael Eavis who joined them on stage for a song as a special guest.
2018 sees them returning to touring all over Europe and working on Album 3.
