Donnie Willow & Pure Grief Co Headline Scottish Tour
Donnie Willow + Pure Grief + Real Ghosts + Fuchsia
Entry Requirements: 18+
Two of Scotland’s brightest rock bands will embark upon a co-headline tour this December that is sure to set venues, north of the border, alight. Glasgow’s alt-rock masters, Donnie Willow, will join forces with Caithness newcomers, Pure Grief, as they take their individual brands of rock to Glasgow, Inverness, Aberdeen and Edinburgh. Donnie Willow have been one of the most dominant acts in the UK live scene since 2013 and continue to grab the attention of their audiences with their energetic live performances and fresh approach to songwriting. The band has received regular airplay on BBC Radio 1, BBC Introducing, XFM and Amazing Radio with numerous features and exclusives from some of the UK’s biggest music magazines/blogs including Rock Sound and Kerrang!. Drummer Peter Bunting said “We’re really excited to get out and play some Scottish shows again. We’ve mainly been touring down south over the past couple of years, so it will be great fun doing a run of dates on home turf. Can’t wait to see the Pure Grief lads rip it up every night as well, it’s gonna be pure swell.” Although relatively new to the live circuit, Caithness’ Pure Grief have wowed audiences with their blistering riffs and earworm melodies, gaining them support slots with rising stars Fatherson and Scottish chart-toppers, The View, as well as a nomination for best Alt/Rock at this year’s Scottish Alternative Music Awards. The band’s last single “Hearse Me” gained them a lot of attention with one reviewer calling it a “supremely catchy slab of heavy alt-rock”. Guitarist and Singer, Peter Bacon, is looking forward to visiting new cities and venues “We’re keen to get out and test drive these new songs in front of audiences we’ve never played to before. It’s also a treat to be out with the Donnie Willow boys. These are gonna be some great shows!”
